Since September 2018, telemedicine is covered by the state if remote consultations are carried out with a patient’s designated physician or with a doctor the patient has consulted in the year preceeding the remote consultation. These rules have been loosened to help face the coronavirus epidemic: patients are now covered even when the doctor carrying out the teleconsultation has never seen them before.
